Dietary oil improves clotting metrics
Effect of dietary supplementation with evening primrose oil on vascular thrombogenesis in hyperlipemic rabbits.
Relevance score based on study
We explored how evening primrose oil might affect blood clotting in rabbits fed a high-cholesterol diet. Using a group of 40 rabbits, we supplemented their diet for 6 weeks with evening primrose oil.

The results showed promising anti-thrombotic effects. Evening primrose oil reduced cholesterol levels and improved good HDL cholesterol. Additionally, it lessened platelet adhesion to the endothelium and decreased signs of vascular damage.

Overall, we found that this dietary supplement can enhance endothelial health and may help reduce clot formation.

Evening primrose oil reduces clotting risk
Evening primrose oil or forskolin ameliorates celecoxib-enhanced upregulation of tissue factor expression in mice subjected to lipopolysaccharide-induced endotoxemia.
Study confirms EPO's potential aid
We investigated how evening primrose oil (EPO) influences blood clotting when paired with celecoxib, a medication linked to thrombotic events. Using a mouse model, we administered celecoxib alongside EPO or forskolin for four weeks, followed by a prothrombotic challenge.

Our findings suggest that while celecoxib increased thrombotic markers, the addition of EPO significantly reduced this prothrombotic effect. This indicates that EPO may help offset some negative cardiovascular impacts of celecoxib, proving its potential in clinical use.

EPO reduces blood platelet aggregation
Effect of evening primrose oil on platelet aggregation in rabbits fed an atherogenic diet.
Relevance score: significant findings
We examined the effects of evening primrose oil (EPO) on blood platelet aggregation, a key factor in blood clot formation. Over six weeks, 40 male rabbits were divided into groups and fed either a normal diet or an atherogenic diet, with some receiving EPO.

The atherogenic diet increased platelet aggregation significantly. However, EPO supplementation notably reduced this hyperaggregation to normal levels. Additionally, it helped lower thromboxane levels and lipid peroxides, which are markers linked to clotting issues.

Overall, these findings suggest that EPO may offer protective benefits against excessive blood clotting in diets high in unhealthy fats.

Sleep improved significantly
WORKS! I completed an entire jar, taking one capsule each evening before bed. Along with it, I took Lecithin. I bought it to prepare my body for menopause and reduce the symptoms I've begun to experience. Thankfully, I experienced no adverse effects. After two months, my sleep improved immensely – it became deeper and lasted longer, and I no longer experienced panic from night sweats. I forgot what it was like to have hot flashes in significant doses! I highly recommend this product!

Positive results for periods
A worthy supplement for all women! Initially, I was sceptical, but after starting it on the first day of my cycle, I was amazed to see my blood loss halved by day two. Normally, I feel quite unwell during this time, but with this supplement, I experienced none of my usual discomfort. An unexpected bonus was stronger nails, something I've not seen from collagen. I even let my daughter try a couple of pills, and it worked wonders for her heavy periods! Neither of us experienced side effects, but I suggest starting carefully and perhaps consulting hormone tests.

Decreased bleeding noted
Just received this supplement after considering it for a long time, and I bought two cans at once! I've been struggling with night sweats, so I needed to try something. I'll provide a review after more time with it, but it should help with menopause. On the first day, I took one capsule, and from the second day, I took two. I've noticed that the bleeding has decreased over a couple of days. The packaging is large enough for a month if I take two capsules daily. I take it with omega-3s; krill oil works but any fish oil is fine. At 40, this is exactly what I need for my health. I believe the benefits will be significant!

EPO may reduce blood clotting
Effect of evening primrose oil and ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on the cardiovascular risk of celecoxib in rats.
Study explores natural supplement effects
We investigated how evening primrose oil (EPO) affects blood clotting and blood pressure fluctuations caused by celecoxib in rats. Our study showed that celecoxib raised blood pressure and sped up blood clotting by increasing platelet activity. While EPO helped lower blood pressure and reduced platelet aggregation, omega-3 fatty acids did not have the same effect. This suggests EPO could be a helpful supplement to mitigate cardiovascular risks linked to celecoxib treatment.

Evening primrose oil shows limited effectiveness
Evening primrose oil (Efamol) in the treatment of Raynaud's phenomenon: a double blind study.
Study relevant for RP management
We explored the impact of evening primrose oil (EPO) on patients with Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) by conducting a double-blind study. Initially, 21 participants received a two-week placebo course. Following this, 11 patients were given EPO for eight weeks while 10 continued with placebo. Overall, those on EPO reported fewer attacks during colder weather and reported improvements in symptoms.

However, objective measures like hand temperatures and blood flow tests didn't show significant improvement. While there were some observed antiplatelet effects and changes in platelet behavior, the treatment did not lead to marked changes in blood clotting relevant to blood flow improvement.

Helps with blood pressure
The pill is good, but I find it a bit large; it would be even better if it were slightly smaller. I regularly purchase it since it's said to be effective for blood clots, and it seems to have helped decrease my blood pressure a bit.
